Aside from the fact I spent most of my childhood growing up in the shadow of Grouse Mountain and would regularly climb Mountain Highway through the access gate on to the east end of the mountain, this episode put me back in an old frame of mind I’ve mentioned before. Mainly, while in the trenches of editing my 4th novel I have to periodically stop and say the words, 4th novel. As in I’ve been here before, and the result was 3 other novels that are now available in the wild for anyone to read. Those trips up Mountain Highway do have their parallels in so many other aspects of life, and the views I’ve been able to achieve as a result have been wondrously worth the effort.
