  1. This episode got me wondering about those of us who mainly read indie ebooks and thus spend little time in our local bookstores, and even when we do it’s difficult to find anyone who reads the kind of books we’ve been reading to create those connections.

  2. Hi, Mark! Two things quickly come to mind:

    1) Don’t re-record or edit out the cat! That’s part of doubling down on being human. lol. In the early days of the pandemic when college classes were all suddenly going online, a colleague learned that when the cats and dogs and kids came in during class, it actually helped the human connection factor that can so easily disappear online.

    2) I always enjoy your interviews, but I also really enjoy and get a lot out of your solo episodes. Don’t think of them as “lesser than” somehow. Think of them as “along with.” It’s just a different sort of value—and it’s a definite value. Thank you for all you do!
